Dear Family Members of Gujarati Samaj of Minnesota,

First of all, I would like to thank you all for giving me an opportunity to serve as a president of Gujarati Samaj of Minnesota for the year 2018. It is my honor and privilege to begin my term as president of the Samaj.
Our outgoing president Mr. Hitesh Patel along with his entire team deserves enormous thanks from all of us for working hard in 2017 for GSMN cause. I would like to pray to god to give me enough strength and guidance, so I can do justice to the position which has been filled by so many distinguished and elite members of Gujarati Samaj of Minnesota in the past.

With the help of continuing and newly appointed BOT and EC members I would like to serve the Samaj to the best of my capability. I would request my team as well as all members to bring creative ways and come up with innovative ideas, on how to serve our community better. We will plan many activities and events that all members will be able to enjoy. I am requesting support and guidance from all past presidents as well as EC, BOT and other experienced members in planning and preparation for various Samaj events. I would like to use print and digital media to reach out to all members of Gujarati community. I am requesting all members of Samaj to actively participate and volunteer in any ways possible and encourage you to write to me or call me for the volunteering opportunity. Samaj members can also register for volunteering at the time of check in of an event. I know that youth is an important part of our society and I request EC and BOT members to find ways to encourage them and get them involved. I would like to form a special committee that will oversee active participation of the youth. We will find some new ideas so younger kids can enjoy coming to the Samaj events as well.

We are non-profit organization with 300+ families as members. It will be our endeavor to expand the Samaj membership and I would like to request help from our existing members to encourage other non-members to join GSMN.

We hope to receive strong and continuous support from all of you to make the 2018 as another year of success! Looking forward to seeing you all in our upcoming event!
